The Rim Drive around Crater Lake is 33 miles of curving two-lane road that circles the lake caldera.

The drive provides stunning views of both the lake and distant landscape at 30 pullouts and overlooks along the way. Keep a close eye for cyclists who challenge the roads many uphill grades.

Portions of the road are closed in winter and the eastern and southeastern stretches sometimes are not cleared for vehicles until early summer. In the winter, the road is available for cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
