Antiques and Collectibles

Caveman Bridge
This bridge crosses the Rogue River on 6th St. in Grants Pass. It’s listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Chinook Park
Off Hwy 199 (Redwood Hwy) to Gordon Way, left to Chinook Lane, right to park. Open year-round. Pet on leash. Day use only.

Griffin Park 
Located on Hwy 199, 6.7 miles from Grants Pass. Right on Riverbanks Road 6.2 miles, then right on Griffin Road to park. Open April 1 to September 30.

Schroeder Park 
Located on Hwy 199, 2.2 miles from Grants Pass. Right on Willow Lane, 2.3 miles to park. Open year-round

City Historic Tours
Take a guided walking tour of historic Grants Pass and share its colorful history. The Josephine County Historical Society is housed in the historic Schmidt House at the corner of 5th and “J” streets. The house contains many interesting collections of books, photos and maps. The reading and conference rooms of their research library are open from 10am to 4pm, Tuesday-Friday.

Downtown Historical District
The downtown area of Grants Pass has recently been designated a National Historic District. This area is filled with antique stores and dining opportunities.

Grants Pass Museum of Art
This City of Grants Pass Museum displays classic and contemporary art including works by local artists. One and two month changing exhibits featuring international, national, regional and local artwork. 229 SW “G” St. 

Jetboat on the Rogue River
Safe for all ages, a thrilling way to explore wildlife and scenery along the famed Rogue is to take a jetboat trip.  Jetboats depart from Grants Pass and Gold Beach.

Performing Arts
ROGUE MUSIC THEATER at Rogue Community College offers the finest regional musical theater in Oregon, July-August (outdoors), plus winter shows. Call for tickets (541) 479-2559 

BARNSTORMERS LITTLE THEATER is the oldest community theater in Oregon. It presents classic and contemporary plays, leaning heavily toward comedy. for information call (541) 479-3557 

STARDUST REPERTORY THEATER, and GRANTS PASS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, located in Grants Pass High School, is one of the nicest performing arts venues in the northwest. Built in 1999, the GPHS Performing Arts Center houses two theaters and three performance classrooms. The main theater seats 800 and has the largest stage in Southern Oregon. The Grants Pass Chamber of Commerce and local merchants also sponsor a series of free “Concerts in the Park” every Tuesday night, July-September in Riverside Park. (541) 476-7717

Riverside Park
Located across the Caveman Bridge. A delightful mix of wide, grassy expanses that slope down to the river’s edge and shaded playground and picnic areas. Concerts in the Park are held each Tuesday, June- August, in the early evenings, offering a variety of music artists.

Riverside West All Sports Park
This park is located on 57 acres adjacent to the Rogue River, less than two miles west of downtown Grants Pass. Riverfront access, nature trails, a pedestrian and bicycle bridge as well as wildlife viewing areas and interpretive signs make this an ideal outdoor experience.

Southern Oregon Public Market
Great place for farm fresh goods and handcrafted items. Located downtown on 4th and “F” streets. Open March-November.

Sportsman’s Park
Take I-5 to Exit 61, north on Frontage Rd (east of freeway), 2.7 miles. Day use only. (541) 476-2040

Tom Pearce Park
Grants Pass Parkway, turn south on Agness and follow directions to Foothill before going under freeway, follow signs to park. Open April 1 to September 30. Day use only. (541) 474-5285

White Horse Park
Travel west on “G” street, eight miles to park entrance on Lower River Road. Open April 1 to September 30.

Whitewater Trips
One of the exciting opportunities in Grants Pass is the chance to take a whitewater rafting or inflatable kayak trip on the Rogue River, a premier whitewater river. Outfitters provide a variety of options, including short half-day trips to longer four-day overnight adventures. Deer, Osprey, Blue Heron and River Otter are often viewed on these excursions.

Wildlife Images Rehabilitation and  Education Center
Get up close and personal with bears, cougars, wolves and more at Wildlife Images, a non-profit organization that cares for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife, indige­nous to the Pacific Northwest. Tours and educational pro­grams for schools, organizations and the general public; it’s a great place for kids and adults alike! Approx 12 miles west of Grants Pass and 3.5 miles from Merlin, open for public tours and visitors all year, rain or shine, except for some holidays; reservations are required.
