- There are many different types of organisms. In this lesson students investigate and categorize a variety of organisms that make their home at Crater Lake National Park.
- Lesson 2 Meet a Tree
- Students learn the difference between deciduous and coniferous trees; how to identify trees by their leaves, seeds and bark; and that trees are producers, by exploring trees at or around their school site.
- Lesson 3 Explore Mt. Hemlock Forest at Crater Lake
- When students visit Crater Lake National Park with their class, they will get an opportunity to learn about the Mt. Hemlock and other trees that live in the high mountain forest habitat.
- Lesson 4 Meet an Animal
- All animals must be able to find food and shelter, grow and reproduce to survive and thrive in their environment. In this lesson students investigate an animal and share their findings as a field guide entry for their classroom's animal field guide to Crater Lake National Park.
