Enjoy a Hike

From easy walks to challenging hikes the park has something for everyone.  Get out and exlore pristine forests, flower-filled meadows and rocky peaks.  You can hike for as little as thirty minutes or up to six hours and more.  Be sure to get a trail map!

September brings fire to the Park

It began with the Rattle fire east of Glide causing the closure of Highway 138 leading to the north entrance of the park.  Highway 138 reopened with a reduced speed limit through the burned areas.  Now, the Middlefork fire near Prospect has burned into the park boundary closing trails in the southwest corner.

Currently all park roads are OPEN. All trails south of Hwy 62 in the park are currently CLOSED.
