My first visit to Crater Lake was in August 1995. My boyfriend, now
husband and I were moving from San Antonio, Texas to Seattle,
Washington. We decided to
spend some time at Crater Lake on the drive up and camped at the Lake for a couple of days. It was absolutely
spectacular! The Lake’s beauty is hard
to put into words. Free of noise and light pollution, the evenings were
equally breathtaking. Now 12 years later, I revisited the Lake on business and was taken back to that first
experience and appreciated the natural wonder all over again. I’m pleased
to see the preservation and renovation the Park has undergone over the last 12
years. I look forward to reliving the experience with my husband and
introducing my 2 sons to Crater
Lake National Park
later this summer!
